SpaceX released a press statement on March 20th to announce that the Merlin 1D testing period has concluded and that the upgraded Merlin engine is qualified to fly on the Falcon 9 v1.1 and upcoming Falcon Heavy.  (more…)

Friday March 1st 2013 saw the SpaceX Falcon 9 v1.0 rocket blast off from SLC-40 at Cape Canaveral Florida at 1510 UTC / 10:10am EST, intending to rendezvous with the International Space Station on Saturday.
